With some bug fixes and tweaks to certain features, this will go down in history as the best classic Sonic game I've ever played by a long shot. The shields are unique and cool to use, especially the electromagnet(?) One thing I'd like to see is a Super Sonic cancel and the ability to curl into a ball while in the air. Tying the Drop Dash to Sonic's momentum is genius and works really well. The bosses are really inventive and interactive. Level design is incredibly fun (except Murky Mines, but that's more a nitpick about its boss). Shield switching (and recovery?) is an excellent feature I've never seen in a Sonic game before. Honestly, I'd say this is leagues better quality than the first game, and that one was already really good. I just finished the entire game and got all emeralds.
